hi all
thought you would want to hear the good news! this just in from Buddy's parents (the dog stolen from Pyramid Mall 2 weeks ago):

Hi Susan,
Great news! We got Buddy back.
It seems that the people who took him made a visit to the vet yesterday. The vet had one of our flyers and they also scanned his microchip. The people were unwilling to give him over but had a change of heart as the consequences started to become clear (the sheriff's office and SPCA were also called). I don't know all of the details, but I got a call from someone anonymous yesterday followed by a call about an hour later from the SPCA saying that they had Buddy.
10 hours of driving later, Buddy is back home.
I really appreciate all of your help. Thank you so much for everything!
