David and Kristen and I hiked up snowmobile from Canaan to Hammond with loppers and hand saws. There is a log that will require a chainsaw on snowmobile between where B1 leaves to lolli-pop and where it hits Hammond Hill Rd … we hiked back via the Log Cabin trail. We ran into 2 hikers who had spent the night up on the hill camping. -m

Pam, Anne, Sharon, Marilyn and 4 dogs went mountain biking starting from the HH parking lot.
We went on Y1, y5 and red something up to the radio tower. At the top of Redman Run, Marilyn’s chain broke. Sharon had a chain tool but we couldn’t fix it so Anne accompanied Marilyn as she walked up and rolled down the hills back to the parking lot. The chain is very important on the bicycle.
The trails were clear for the most part but R1 needs some work. We moved the stuff blocking the whole trail but went around the smaller stuff. Nothing is too big to need a chain saw.
We saw a few groups of hikers and 2 horses. As we had hot tea and snacks in the parking lot we saw a bunch of bow hunters go by. Gun seasons starts next week, I think.
