8 of us, Mike L, Mike G, John, Bill, Brenda, Bianca, Marilyn, and Marissa skied a bit over two hours at Hammond Hill. We went on the sauna trail up the FLT to the radio tower, down the ” Dan Karig ” Trail, then on Y4, Y8, Y7 and back on Canaan road. Conditions were excellent. There was a few water spots that were easily avoided. All the trees were covered in white, which looked beautiful, but resulted in some bowing over the trails and some face-slapping on the downhills. A few of the more heavily-traveled trails were starting to get packed down but much of it was nicely tracked. Even though temperatures were supposed to get up to 40 today, it never really felt that warm.
If you don’t have to work on Monday, I’d get out there before the warm-up.
-Marilyn
Addendum from the editor: Coming down Y7, Marissa and I were on sweep. She spotted a cell phone in the snow, I grabbed it. I thought it was Mike G’s … when we got to the bottom of the hill I asked him what time it was … but he didn’t take the bait. Marissa and I looked at each other and shrugged?
Later back at the shop, Bianca started searching through her gear stack frantically … “looking for this?” m :-)
