There will be a Candor Jam this week at 7:30 p.m. at the Berg home, 90 Main Street, Candor.

June 18 is busy night as there is also a house concert followed by a jam at Raylene and Mike Ludgate's!

Here are details on the house concert: Valerie Smith and Liberty Pike will be performing at the Ludgates' Canaan Road workshop from 7 to 9 p.m. Valerie and her band are top notch bluegrass musicians and play at many of the big festivals. Hi All,

It is summer, the time of long bright days and good roads. We continue to raise our voices on alternate Thursdays in Candor as well as enjoy delightful fiddle tunes. But, numbers are generally low for this time of year. Now, last sing was the same night as the concert at Mike Ludgate's so that is understandable. I'm wondering if there is some reason why YOU aren't coming more regularly. I'd really appreciate some feedback so we can think about making this a more popular event. This is a very imporant event for me (as most of you probably know) and worth some work to make it work.

Hi All!

I forgot to mention at the last sing that we have scheduled the annual spiedie roast, pot luck Candor Jam at our house on Dry Brook Road. It will be on August 27, one of our regular Thursdays. We will welcome company any time after 5:30. Come early for a swim, the lake is frigid but not the pond! Bring a generous dish and a song or two to share! We have lots of chairs but you should bring your instruments.

We live 2.4 milies north on Dry Brook Rd, it runs parallel to 96B. You turn onto Gridleyville Crossing Road from 96 or 96B. After one bridge (from either end, it is a marvelously symetrical road) you turn onto Dry Brook. From 96 it is the second left. From 96B it is the first right. Our house number is 482. Phone number is 659-5003. We look forward to seeing you there!
