Since the Ithaca Festival parade is Thursday evening, we will postpone the Candor Jam until NEXT Thursday, June 9th. I'll send out another reminder later.

Hello everyone,

Hope you're keeping cool and enjoying the summer. We will be doing our regular jamming at Bob and Cheryll Berg's house, 90 Main Street in Candor at 7:30 -?

If any of you can join me at the Owego Highschool this Friday night at 5:30, I'll be providing some music for the Relay for Life dinner for the 'Survivors', which is scheduled for 6:00. I'm planning it like a circle jam, but bringing a song/tune list to refer to. It would be helpful if you emailed me back saying you'll try to be there. And showing up a little late is okay with me...

Hello Everyone!

Hope you've been having a wonderful summer, and enjoyed the moon this week, wow! And last night I got to see a meter streak across the sky right above the stage at Taughannock Park. Anyone else see that? The evening was early and the sky was still blue!

We jammers will be meeting this Thursday at Bob and Cheryll Berg's house, starting at 7:30. We'll be doing the usual, or unusual, mix of songs and tunes. Hope to see you there, so I can tell you about my West Virginia Square Dance Stomp experience. What a hoot that was! We thought the floor was going to cave in!

Hello everyone,
We will be meeting this Thursday at a Different Location! Keith Yates has volunteered his house for a jam session. So, we will meet there at 7:30 instead of Bob and Cheryll Berg's house.
To get to the Yates Estates, turn onto Griddleyville, which connects 96B and 96/Spencer Rd. Then turn onto West Candor Road, which is right next to Drybrook Road. Keith's is the first place on the left hand side of the road. Bring a chair and snacks to share, if you'd like. This is sort of a house warming party, too. Candor Jam Oct 12 2006

Two weeks have rolled around again, and it's time for the Candor Jam. Same place, Bob and Cheryll Berg's house at 90 Main Street, from 7:30-? All level of players welcome...some folks just come to sing, and sometimes just listen. You never know what you might hear!

Hello!
This Saturday, there will be a Round and Square Dance held at the Candor Grange Hall. Music provided by Bill Sherwood and Friends, me being the fiddling, singing friend. The dancing goes from 8:00-11:00, $5 for adults, $2 for students. Refreshements will be available at the break...I'm sure there will be at least apple and pumpkin pie!

Hello Everyone!
Is it possible that two weeks have gone by already? I suppose there has been fun thrown in with the time flying by. But, I really didn't appreciate the mouse that chewed a hole in the cam belt cover in the new used Subaru that I haven't made a payment on yet. Chewed a hole and filled the compartment with Acorns! I was half way to Ithaca when the engine started rockin' and rollin'. I left it there to be towed the next day. When the mechanic took the cam cover off, acorns went rolling everywhere. Says he's never seen anything quite like that...and he sold me the car on Sept. 11th!
Anyway, back to the reason for writing. This Thursday (Oct 26th) is the next Candor Jam at Bob and Cheryll Berg's house, 90 Main Street at 7:30. Bring treats to share if you'd like...leave the tricks and the mice at home!

Hello everyone,
There will be a Candor Jam this Thursday at Bob and Cheryll Berg's house, 90 Main Street in Candor, at 7:30-? Kaaren Remley, one of our jammers is being moved to the Rochester Hospital tonight, after suffering a stroke earlier this week. The stroke has left her left arm and leg paralyzed. I saw her earlier today and had a nice visit with her and Buddah, and met her parents. Kaaren's parents live outside of Rochester, so she will have family nearby. We can send her healing vibes from the Jam on Thursday to lift her spirit and if anyone wants to send a card to her Ithaca address, that is: 213 South Albany St. Ithaca, NY 14850

We live at 482 Dry Brook Rd., 2.4 miles from the south end of the
road.
Dry Brook is off Gridleyville Crossing Rd. (runs between 96B and
96. 96B connects Candor and Ithaca. 96 connects Candor and
Spencer). From 96B it is the first right. From 96 it is the
second left (just after the first left). In both cases, you
cross one small bridge on Gridleyville
