We are sooooo happy to announce that the ANSWER THE MUSE Cabaret Song Series is returning to LOT 10!!! (The Old Delilah's)....112 South Cayuga Street in Ithaca.....April and May will be our "spring fling!".

Our opening show is April 15th....Sunday.....5:00-7:00pm.
We will feature:
The Rosie Rocca Quintet-brand new sound with full band----drums & sax in the mix!

ANSWER THE MUSE- the "Showgirl Set" ...(some surprise guests --"DJ Gunz" might be in the house...)

and our featured artist-
Elisa Scisciolli and Friends
(Lead Singer-Songwriter of the well known group "Solstice" getting up close and personal with her songs)

We have awaited all summer for this announcement...and it is a huge step in our growth!!! ANSWER THE MUSE just completed its first album at the Wilburland Studios entitled ANSWER THE MUSE - "one". If 7 musicians, with the help of others, could have just had a baby...this is it!
We are also launching a new series to be called our "Spirit Cafe"....a seasonal performance series with ANSWER THE MUSE and varying invited guests performers, to take at La Tourelle....think of it as a Music Spa!! For those of you who loved and attended our Cabaret series, our Spirit Cafe will be our new venture along similar paths....more MUSE...more guest artists...more of a musical mix...in a beautiful setting!!! ALL WE NEED IS YOU!
SO SET YOU CALENDARS ON SEPTEMBER 9TH...5:00-7:00PM ....REFRESHMENTS AVAILABLE
The wonderful and always spontaneous women's vocal group EPHEMERA joined us on 2 of the songs on the CD....and they will be joining us again for the CD Release party.....so expect the unexpected!!! (If this CD was our baby, they were our doulas!!)

Dear Musicians and Activists---
Once again it is time for MUSIC FOR A SEASON, MUSIC FOR A REASON! And both this concert's artists cause is one you won't want to miss!!!!
April 20th, 7:30-10:00pm, we are proudly supporting (locally) the Upstate Coalition to Ground the Drones and Stop the Wars...as well as Code Pink (often featured on Amy Goodman's Democracy Now...lead by Medea Benjamin).
The Upstate Coalition to Ground the Drones and Stop the Wars is an organization that has been conducting peace actions at the Syracuse Hancock field, which is where much of the Drone Warfare is initiated. The group is closely affiliated with many local activists who have co-ordinated over 50 folks from Ithaca to particiate in these peace protests...including those of the Hancock 37 who recently go arrested in their passion to end Drone Warfare. Half of our fundraising will go to support their efforts...the other half going to Code Pink (which just sent a delegation in October, to Pakistan to witness and meet with those affected by the Drone Warfare).

Our line up is AMAZINGLY VARIED----proudly reflecting the diversity in our musical community as well.
This concert will feature the Ithaca Gay Men's Chorus under the direction of Thomas Baker....the traditional celtic group Traonach, the cabaret stylings of Margaret Wakely and Molly MacMillan, and the swing sounds of Blue Skies.....to be hosted by Jan Nigro and Susan Murphy. And a huge shout out to Karl Fitzke for running our sound.
