I'm looking for musicians to come and play at the Candor Fire Hall on Nov. 13. We are scheduled to be there from 1:00-4:00 for the Citizens of the Year Award, which I just sent to you. Candor ‘Citizens of the Year’ Celebration

It’s become a yearly tradition for Candor Community Services Corporation to honor a citizen who has shown great commitment to serving the community in positive ways. This year, we have decided that instead of picking one person to honor, that we would celebrate and thank the many volunteers who pulled together to help friends, neighbors, and strangers during the crisis created by the September flood.

On Sunday, November 13, from 1:00-4:00, the Citizens of Candor are invited to the Candor Fire Hall to celebrate and thank the volunteers who dedicated many days and nights to helping others. This is a time to give thanks, share stories and accept the gratitude of others. Everyone was touched in some way by this devastating flood. The ‘Citizens of the Year’ Tea is a forum to gather people together for celebrating the fact that we live in a wonderful, giving community that keeps on giving! Refreshments will be served, and we’re hoping for some musicians to provide background music. Call Trish Engelhard for more information at 659-4070. We are looking forward to saying, ‘Thank You!’
