Dear Folk Dancers,

Just to let you know that the International Folk Dancers at Cornell are sponsoring a Scandinavian Dance Workshop this Saturday, September 30, in the Memorial Room in Willard Straight Hall, Cornell. Toby Weinberg and Ginny Lee have taught Scandinavian dances across the country. They are exceptional in their ability to lead beginners through the steps and style of these beautiful dances. This is an opportunity to learn and improve the techniques used in Norwegian and Swedish turning dances. Come as partners or alone. Bring clean soft-soled shoes.

Teaching is from 1:30 to 3:30 PM. After a short break, there will be a Dance from 4 to 5PM with Toby and Ginny playing on a variety of traditional Scandinavian instruments. Toby is one of the foremost masters of the Hardanger fiddle in the US.
Teaching session is $10; Dance $5. Both sessions at $13. Students with ID are free.

Info on Parking and Directions at: http://ifd..cornell.edu where there in info on other club activities.
Contacts: Dee Hayes 339-6241 or e-mail Caroline Spicer, cfs!@cornell.edu.

Hello Everyone,

There have been a few changes to details about the workshop on November 11 & 12. First of all, we are calling it a Klezmer Dance Workshop, in order to be consistent with publicity from the Cornell University Klezmer Ensemble (CUKE). If you see earlier publicity for a Yiddish Dance Workshop, that is this same event.

Here is a revised description and schedule
