The Candor Jam will be meeting this Thursday at Bob and Cheryll Berg's house, 90 Main Street, 7:30. Last time I accidentally put the meeting time as 7:00, and if you get there at 7:00, no one will stop you from coming in from the cold, getting warmed up, tuned up and ready to play.

Hello everyone!
Hope you're keeping nice and warm! This is the week for a Candor Jam on Thursday at 90 Main Street, at Bob and Cheryll Berg's house, 7:30pm. It's that time of the year to watch out for storms a brewing and plan activities accordingly. I don't want folks traveling in nasty weather to a Candor Jam. I haven't heard of snow, but the temperatures sure are cold. If you are planning to come to the jam in Candor, an email back to me by Wednesday would be appreciated. I opt to hibernate when it's this cold...

Hello Everyone!
Spring is in the air...in the form of Robins! I saw a bunch of them
today! So, it won't be long before the crocuses are blooming and the frogs
are croaking.
And speaking of croaking, we will be gathering to play music and sing in
our own special voices at the Candor Jam, Thursday night Mar 8th. 7:30pm at 90 Main
Street, home of Bob and Cheryll Berg, and www.thunderbirdatlatl.com

Hello everyone,
Hope you've dug yourself out of your driveway by now! We had almost 18
inches up here on my hill this Sunday morning! I thought it was suppose to
be over yesterday afternoon! We got 8-9 inches over night.
Anyway! Wednesday is the first day of Spring! And Thursday is the
Candor Jam at 7:30, 90 Main Street in Candor. And Like the birds, I feel
like singing in thanks for the returning sun...and disappearing winter.

Looking forward to the music...

Hello,
It occurred to me that others on my lists might be interested in learning
to drum or be part of a percussion...experiment. I have a teacher, Aloja
Airewele, who is from West Nigeria. His approach to learning to drum is
through many different drums, sticks, cowbells, etc. The class is more 'in
the moment' than a scheduled plan of lessons, but I always come away feeling
like I've learned something new, or lightened up in a way.
The group has been meeting on Sundays at 2:00 at 59 Dart Road at the UCNS
Preschool, where I work. $10 per session and they last from 1-1 1/2 hours.
If you want more information, email me, or just stop by next Sunday to see
what we're up to. Bu if you do email me that you're interested, I can then
let you know if the class is cancelled for some unforseen reason.

Hello everyone,
Oh the summertime is coming...and I am feeling the need to let go of
some regularly scheduled programs. It's been almost 7 years since the
Candor Jam began and we've been pretty regular at every other Thursday since
the beginning. But, I would like to step down as the regular 'host' so that
I can do other musical things, or just sit and watch the fish jump in my
pond.
This Thursday would be the next Candor Jam and if you have been looking
forward to being there, I don't see any reason for those who have been
faithful attendees to not show up. But, I may be tending the garden. I'm
expecting feedback from some of you, so go ahead and give it to me! (-:
I hope to have a potluck/jam out here in the summer. Maybe make a day
of it with swimming, hiking, kayaking, sauna, food, campfire, oh yea...and
music! Stay tuned for more details...

Hi Everyone,
There is still a Candor Jam set for this Thursday, May 3, at 7:30 at
Bob and Cheryll Berg's home, 90 Main Street, Candor. All are welcome.
The location and house are open to everyone for the jam. Trish is
taking a break from coordinating the jam every other week. Phil has
said he will be there this week and is willing to help out. We can
discuss plans for the Candor jam on Thursday or through emails. Our
house is always open for the jams!

Hello everyone,

Bob and Cheryll are happy to continue hosting the Candor Jam and look
forward to the evenings of music. So, if you were hoping to play/sing in
Candor tomorrow night, folks will be gathering at 7:30pm at 90 Main Street.
Phil has volunteered to keep the music flowing within the jam session. I
have no objection to sending out reminders on these two lists, I just need a
break 'having to be there' for every jam.

Debra Chesman, Dannielle Swart and I have a few future performance dates
that need rehearsals, so I want my musical time to be more focused on that
right now. Keep an eye out for 'The Cotton Mill Girls' to sing/play in a
town near you! June 10th we will be at the Old Time Fiddle Festival in
Watkins Glen, with Joe Crookston as a guest with us.

Hope you have a nice jam tomorrow evening!

We had a fun and lively time at the Candor jam last Thursday (May 3)
and missed those who couldn't make it. The jams will be continuing as
always every two weeks on Thursdays at the Berg home at 90 Main
Street, Candor. The next jam will be May 17 at 7:30 p.m. All are
welcome. We will send out a reminder email next week.

The next Candor Jam will be June 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the Berg home, 90
Main Street, Candor. As we do every June, we are skipping the first
Thursday in June because of the Ithaca Festival.

We will send out a reminder a few days before the 14th.
