To all Candor Jammers Past and Present!

Attendance at our jam has been light over the summer. Those of us who have come have enjoyed good music and great company. We have learned from each other!
Some of you are special friends of Trish and moved on when she did. While you were singing and playing with us you became our friends as well, and we miss you!

The next Candor jam will be Thursday, NOVEMBER 29, at 7:30 p.m. at the Berg home, 90 Main Street, Candor, New York. Please note we are skipping a week because of Thanksgiving. The jams will continue every two weeks from Nov. 29th through December and so forth!

Hope you can make it. For those who can make it, Debra Chesman is hosting a jam at her home in Painted Post, Saturday, Nov. 24 starting with a dish to pass. If you didn't get the information contact either the Bergs, Trish Engelhard or Debra for more information.

Happy Holidays musicians!

The last 2 sings have been better attended and a joyful noise filled the house. It feels GREAT to have a "jam orchestra" coming together once again. Last time, Trish's Thursday night class was cancelled and she showed up. What a smile that was for all of us. There are many of you from near (Candor and Spencer) and far (Ithaca, Dryden) who have not darkened our door in many months. Come and celebrate the holiday season with a visit with old friends down at the Candor Jam! We'd love to see you.

Hello folks,
If any of you venture out tonight towards Candor, you are certainly welcome to come to our home and can even spend the night here playing music. However, we are officially canceling tonight's jam! Stay safe and warm!

The next jam will be at Carrie and Dick's house on December 27. Music begins at around 7 p.m. There will be soup on for those who arrive earlier or for those who go directly from work to the jams. There will also be egg nog and all kinds of snacks. Bring a snack/dessert with you if you can. Further information and directions will be coming soon!

Dick and Carrie's house for a holiday jam

Thursday December 27

We'll have a pot of soup on especially for those coming from work. We'll do our best to accomidate the various diets we are aware of in the group. A big pot of vegetable soup is a good bet. So come on over when you can! Try to get here by 7 so music can begin by 7:30.

I'd encourage folks to bring a sweet or savory snack to go with our Stollen, and egg nog. That makes the evening so much fun. There will be various children in attendance from a few months of age on up. Legos will be available for the "school aged set". Some of the regular attendees refer to our place as "the lego house." Probably we'll set them up upstairs so the tiny ones do not eat them!

A review of the directions......go on Gridleyville Crossing Rd. (connects 96 and 96B) From 96B Dry Brook Rd is the first of 2 right hand turns maybe 1/8 mile after the little bridge. From 96, Dry Brook is the second of 2 lefts maybe 1/4 mile after another little bridge. We are 2/4 miles north on Dry Brook, we have parking areas plowed both just before and just after our big red machine shed. Try not to park on the road if you can avoid it, folks drive like NUTS!

It would be helpful in thinking about seating to have a rough idea of who is coming. So if you can RSVP, please do. Don't stay home because you did not let us know!!!! We are looking forward to this important part of our holiday season. "How can we keep from singing?"

Happy February, Jammers!

The last Candor Jam was GREAT! There were about 7 musicians as well as several of us singers raising the rafters. The tea warmed us all, the roads were good, and best of all the company and music were wonderful. I hope to see some faces who have been missing recently. The weather forecast looks promising once again.

February 21 would normally be a Candor Jam night but there are some conflicts which Carrie brings up - read on! After reading Carrie's note, let us know if you think we should just reschedule. Which would be better - Feb. 28 or Mar. 6

Hello From Trish!
Since it is a break from school next week, I won't have to get up and drive to Ithaca. Therefore, I was figuring I could more easily come to the jam. And since I'm on the mend from the bug that bit me so hard, I might even have some energy past 7:00pm! If others were wanting to come to Candor to jam, I can plan on being there.

Candor Jammers,

Since there is no school for my kids the next day, I don't have to get up quite as early, so if the jam were to be Feb 21, there is more chance I might come on the 21st. Now I don't expect you to change things for me who hardly makes it, but if it were on Feb 21 and Trish were coming, I'd make a big effort. Will not attend Taj concert. I even arranged a sleepover for Madeline that night, just in case that would make it easier for me to get to Candor without being missed by my daughter. That's my little vote, but I leave it to the delegates to make the final decision. Isn't that the way it works?

Thanks Everyone for letting us know if the 21st was a good night for the Candor Jam. It looks like enough people will be able to make the 21st so we will start the jam at 7:30 as usual. We will miss those who can't make it and those who will be at the Taj Mahal Concert but hope to see you in two weeks at the March 6 jam.

Hope to see those who can make it this Thursday, Feb. 21 at 7:30 p.m. at 90 Main Street, Candor.
