Master hammer dulcimer player Dan Duggan is coming to the Danby Town Hall on Sunday, October 5, for a
free afternoon concert. The concert, sponsored by the Danby Community Council, will start at 3 pm and is free for all ages. Based in New York’s North Country, Dan has been touring the country for more than twenty years and has been honored as a National Hammered Dulcimer Champion. In concert, Dan mixes things up with songs, tunes, and instruments. He will likely play the gamut from traditional Irish and French Canadian tunes to 19th century dance halls to his own original and innovative compositions. Dan has produced more than thirty solo and joint venture albums and has played with Paul Simon on his “You’re the One” album. “The Pieces of our Life,” one of his children’s albums received a Parents Choice award.
