events at 3 hours are news for dancers! Old-songs, Dance Flurry, etc. By the
way, I only list events with LIVE music. One of the wonderful things about
contra dancing is that it supports and encourages live music! :-)

Fri Oct 07 ITHACA NY - JAM and Waltz: Dancing to a Waltz Jam. This is
CNY's only "waltz jam". It is is an open band playing the "New England
standard waltzes" from The Waltz books (I,II &III). This takes place once
per month at 7:00 pm, first Friday of the Month for one hour preceding the
regular ITHACA NY Friday Contra dance at Bethel Grove Community Center which
starts at 8 pm ... a great warm up for the evening's contra dance.
