pm - The focus is fiddle dance tunes suitable for contra dance; not a slow
jam, but newcomers are always welcome. Current format: we use sheet music
until about 8:45, take a break and then play by ear for the last hour.

is CNY's only "waltz jam". It is is an open band playing the "New England
standard waltzes" from The Waltz books (I,II &III). This takes place once
per month at 7:00 pm, first Friday of the Month for one hour preceding the
regular ITHACA NY Friday Contra dance at Bethel Grove Community Center
which starts at 8 pm ... a great warm up for the evening's contra dance.
